The Gift of Age Grades 3-5 Do you know what it’s like to face the fact that your grandmother has Alzheimer’s or an uncle has heart disease? What can you do if you’re over 50 and want to stay healthy and fit? What do you know about what it was like to grow up in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s? Our Fourth Grade GT students participated in the Texas State Performance Standards Project for the fourth year. We chose to study “The Gift of Age. Our third and fifth grade students explored the same topic. On the following pages you will see pictures of the kids in action as they researched, created products, and communicated this knowledge to family, friends, classmates, and the community. World Travelers Grades 1 & 2 The First and Second Grade GT students became world travelers. They studied Christmas traditions around the world and journeyed to Alaska to investigate totem poles, the Iditarod, and various mammals. Enjoy their charm and creativity as you browse their pages.
