The Newspaper

We publish a newspaper every month. We usually get about 1,000 papers every month and distribute them to the kids and the people who bought ads. Ads? you ask. You know you can't publish a newspaper for free. So at the first of the year the G/T fifth graders went with a partner and a parent sponsor to ask the businesses in town if they would like to pay to have an advertisment in our newspaper. We raised about $3000 to pay the Brownwood Bulletin to publish it and for a new computer. We couldn't have done it without computers because we do pretty much everything on the computers. We type up our articles and send the newspapers electronically to the Brownwood Bulletin. You probably think that's pretty amazing, but that's just a usual day for the G/T.
