BOOK WORLD!!!
We wrote stories and published books. What fun!
The first grade put all their stories together in one book called Up!Up!and Away!
Second grade wrote stories about their grandmas
called You Can Always Count on Grandma.

Third, fourth, and fifth GT students paired up with Title 1 students to explore the world of literature. First they read and talked about stories, discussed story elements,and then each student wrote and illustrated their own story.
Stories were typed and artwork scanned or created on the computer. Everything was put on templates, printed and sent to the publishers.
We had a big Authors' Party at the end of the year to show off our books.
