Owl Drugstore P.J. M. 5th For my interview I interviewed my dad, Paul Martinez. He has lived here for over 30 years. The thing he remembers most is going to the Owl Drugstore on the south corner of Central and Austin. In the drugstore they had a little area where you could eat and drink. They had floats in big glass containers, old fashion hamburgers like you see in the fifty's. The hamburger and the drink together would have been around $2.50. The floats were $ .26. The owner was Mr. and Mrs. Tucker. I wish I would have been there to eat and drink that food. |
