The Old Days

I interviewed my parents , Carroll & Rhonda Abbey. Carroll is a Water Plant Operator at Upper Leon River Municipal Water District. Rhonda is an Assistant. President Auditor at Comanche National Bank. I interviewed them about Comanche High school.

I asked them about the old high school. They told me that in Spring of 1976 when my dad was a senior and my mom was a sophomore,they didn't have a high school because Comanche high school was found to be unsafe. They attended classes at the old gym (F.B.C gym) and at the old elementary school. The new high school was finished in Fall of 1976 and the first class to graduate from there was the class of 1977.
