I interviewed Dephy Fairchild, a good friend of mine, to learn more about Comanche's past.
She gave me some interesting facts like that in 1890 the First National Bank was established, it opened with 100 depositors and was locally owned.
In the mid 1800's Comanche was a camping ground for the Comanche Indians in Texas. Also in the mid 1800's the oak tree was named the Fleming Oak.
Then in the early 1900's, Comanche was a trading town where they traded horses and cattle, at that time the town had a large population. The local square was surrounded by buildings as it is now.
On the east of the town there was a large watering area where people pumped water out of for their horses and cattle.
