Comanche's Past Comanche College by Steven A. 4th grade   There were 155 schools in Comanche County in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Most of these schools were little. You could not tell these schools from a house. Also there was a college called Comanche College. This college was built in 1881. The Comanche College Association was chartered for 50 years, with the board consisting of six directors. In 1895, there was 700 pupils. Now there is no college in Comanche County.
