peanut industry.
The
peanut industry use to be very important in Comanche County.Peanuts
where the main agriculture crop in Comanche. Most family farms
grew peanuts. The economy of the county was based on peanuts.
During the fall of the year when it was harvest time there was
dust and the smell of peanuts in the air even in town.There would
be lines of trucks and trailers waiting to be unloaded at the
local peanut plant.The peanut plant was a busy place in town during
harvest.
