In the winter of the early 70's, three duck hunters lost their lives when their boat capsized on Lake Proctor. The authorities were notified of the missing persons, then search and recovery teams were dispatched. Many people, boats, and other recovery equipment were on site. In response, my father helped by driving the drag boats which pulled nets and hooks to retrieve the bodies from the lake bottom . After two or three days all missing persons were found. |
