WATERMELONS
at the
Stephens Farm

First Grade g/t
One Thursday afternoon, the 1st grade g/t went to the Stephen's farm to watch the planting of watermelons. Mr. and Mrs.Stephens told us many interesting
things about the way watermelons are planted.
You can see the men planting by hand. The water in the tanks water each plant as
they are planted.
The wheat that is seen growing, helps
to protect the small plants from wind, hail and other weather
elements.
We enjoyed going to
the watermelon "patch".
